Say hello to...

There are some things in life that are awesome, and beautiful.  Dan and Al's work on Path Nine (seen on Zuda comics) is one of those.  We must all now thank Dan and Al for not only helping me out with a bunch of guest strips but for being the wonderful creators that they are!

Yer darn...uh...tootin!

I could not resist showing another one by Paul this week.
If anything it shows more of that same great humor, all be it with a slightly
different angle.

Obama sheep!

Today's wonder is from a dear electronic friend and great person Paul McKinney!  I understand that some of you may not agree with Paul's political stance but I think that anyone with a sense of humor can step back and just laugh at a great joke on politics.
Now that you're all laughing I can assure you that there will be more to come from Paul!  Thank you all, have a great week!

Those damn kids!

Today's strip comes from the wonderfully amazing Julee Gardner.  It's funny because it's true. ..for the most part.  I mean, I've seen these people walking amongst us and I'm sure that for the most part you have as well.  Thank you Julee for showing us the light.  I implore all of you to go now and see some more of this fine artist's fine doodles

I'd be happy.

This one is from one of my childhood influences, the man behind Too Much Coffee Man Shannon Wheeler!  Thanks Shannon, getting to talk to someone (even if it's online) who was such a huge part of my love for comics is amazing, getting them to lend me their strips leaves me speechless.

On another note though, I apologize to everyone especially Brad for the late post yesterday.  I told the computer 9:30 but failed to make it in the AM.  This will not happen again the appropriate parties have been punished. Thank you.

Dog pee on the puter screen

This is our first guest strip by the wonder Brad Diller of Fundaymorning.com! Yay for Brad, I hope you all will enjoy this comic and the many more to come from him.  I will admit that since discovering him he has not only influenced  my drawing style but my writing as well, maybe he can influence you to.

Wap ah Dog

Well guys here it is, the WINNER of Decaffeinated Coffee's 2nd Annual Caption Contest of Awesome!  And this years winner is the wonderous Zuda vet and very funny/talanted cartoonist Steve Steiner!  He will receive a signed 11x14 print of my 'Spock Trooper' drawing that is appearing in issue 6 of Color Ink Book as well as a NewBot car window sticker, yay Steve!  We got alot of really solid entires this year but for some reason hitting that dog with a shovel had me laughing the hardist.  Thanks Steve, you're one of the best in the business!

And as I am still unable to draw, the above is okay because it was drawn and published before, tomorrow will kick off the next few weeks of Guest Strips!  Starting with Brad Diller!  Hope you enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed getting them!

Blackbird

A fond hello goes out to everyone.

Some of you may have noticed a slight absence of comics here.  I've no way to know, guess or assume your observational power but I am able to offer an explanation for the
obvious lack of content.

Recently there has been an upheaval in my family life which has caused great pain and destruction the likes of which I've never had to experience.  The whole ordeal has been rather difficult and debilitating to the point that for a short time I can not create or contribute to the art form that I love so very much.

Because of this I've sent out a call to everyone I know in the comics and art world for help.  And much to my delight and deep gratitude they've heeded.  So starting Monday Decaffeinated Coffee will return with a new look and a seemingly endless run of guest strips from the likes of Shannon Wheeler, Mike Dubisch and Brad Diller just to name a few.

The guest strips will contiune to run until I can make a full recovery and a triumphet return.  I guess we can think of this as a way to find out about a whole slew of talanted artists and writers that we would have otherwise never discovered.

Finally, if you are reading this as a fellow cartoonist or artist please concider helping out a fallen comrade with a guest strip of your own.  It would be amazing.  Any strips you would like to see on the site can be sent to chcomics@yahoo.com

Once again, a huge thank you goes out to everyone you will see in these upcoming weeks.

Comic creaters unite!

Much love and tremendous appreciation to all of my contemporary's and fans,

Alex Diochon guest strip!

This wondrous comedic beauty comes from the mind and pen of Alex Dichcon!  He's heeded my call for people to make one panal Decaf's and for that I thank him kindly.

Another really cool thing about Alex is he's competed on Zuda four times prior to this month and has never won.  That's a Zuda record folks.

So loyal, dear, sweet readers please extend the kindness you bestowed upon myself and NewBot last month.  Vote for Alex's comic Fulcrum, give it five stars and add it to your favorites!

Make this the month that years of Alex's hard work have led him to.  Make this the month that Alex can finally get that DC Comics contract.  Make this the month that true talent and genius are not ignored due to a lack of promotion.  Make this February the month of Fulcrum on Zuda.

There is a facebook group HERE
And you can follow Alex on Twitter HERE

Thank you, I'll step off the soap box now.  Anyone else want to get up there? The comments section is below.

All Apologies.

As some of you may recall last month there was some fan art posted by Bryy Miller that caused a bit of a stir in the Zuda Competiton.  A lot of people have a lot of questions about just what happened and whose angry with who and all that.  Well, I got together with Thunderchickens artist 3!ll and made a comic about it.

I think the above should settle all scores and heal any wounds, and guess what, NewBot's actually saying something this time! Translate here.  A big thanks goes out to 3!ll for being part of this thing!  I highly recommend that you all check out his awesome comics, just click his name above.

The live drawing was canceled last night but I will be LIVE tonight @9PM EST.  Come on over to The Brew and watch me create wonderous silly cartoons right before your eyes as I answer any and all questions.  Simple fun.
